Two Bicycles is the folk project of a 24 year old singer-songwriter from Abbotsford, BC. Where his past bands may have brought more electronics or electric guitars, his Two Bicycles project is a more simple, stripped-down project, filled with three-part harmonies, spacious reverb and introspective lyrics. After writing two full-length records, sharing them with only friends for the most part, he released his first LP, “An Attempt To Be Alone”. A record full of searching and pilgrimage, the album is collection of quiet folk songs, loosely based on the idea of finding hope in solitude. The album was released as a free download off the Two Bicycles’ Myspace page, and has seen a great amount of attention and revere.
His latest release is an EP, entitled, “The End”. In only four songs, he moves through topics like the inspiration of close friends, finding love on quiet country roads, and searching for something greater. This record showcases not only his songwriting prowess, but also his ability in the studio; he engineered, mixed and mastered the entire record himself.
